Performance Driver Training is based in Basingstoke, North Hampshire and is run by Ian Sheppard ADI(car & Fleet),Dip DI. He is a highly experienced driver, instructor and coach. His background and CV include, service in the Police as an Advanced Driver, which is one of the most coveted qualifications you can have for road driving, through to competitive Motorsports. Ian has a calm and friendly manner but delivers his driver coaching to a very high professional standard.

Ian is involved with RoSPA and the IAM (Institute of Advanced Motorists) as an observer as well as being an IAM Registered ADI. Ian is also a qualifed Fleet Trainer and Assessor for companies and other organisations, as well as delivering Emergency Response driver training (blues 'n' twos) to both private and public sector emergency services.

Ian is a highly experienced and regarded track instructor with a vast experience of performance cars from single seater race cars through to the latest Ferraris. His working knowledge of race circuits include Silverstone, Brands Hatch, Castle Combe, Thruxton as well as many airfield tracks and purpose built facilities like Bedford Autodrome and the Lotus test track at Hethel. In fact Ian was involved in the evaluation of the supercharged Lotus Exige 'S'. Recently Ian has also delivered  driving instruction and demostrations drives at the 'Top Gear' track in Dunsfold, Surrey for some of the leading major motor manufactures.
